THE DEPARTURE

While being punished for their rowdy behavior, Alexander, Flora and Pom find their father's old magic map in a dusty corner of the attic. Much to the children's surprise, Babar agrees that it is time for the family to embark on an adventure and explore other lands. The legend of the map says that if they "voyage through all the lands that are marked with the royal crown, they will arrive at the Land of Happiness". Intrigued by the legend, Babar and his family decide to set out on the adventure of a lifetime!


ADVENTURE ON BIG ISLAND

Babar, Celeste, Zephir and the children arrive at their first destination only to find that everything on the island is bigger than usual. The plants are bigger, the fruit is bigger and even the people are bigger! Intrigued by some friendly, flying fairies, Flora runs off from her family and makes friends with a giant! Babar and his family believe that Flora has been kidnapped and they decide to lure the giant away from his cave so they can rescue their endangered daughter. Upon meeting this strange giant however, the family learns that he is just lonely and not mean at all! They all leave their first land of adventure after having learned to never judge a book by its cover.


LAND OF GAMES

After landing their balloon on a giant chessboard, the gang realizes that they have come across a land filled with games! Much to their disappointment however, King Nofun has banned all games from the land. It is up to Babar to convince this troubled royal that "It doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you have fun!"


LAND OF TOYS

Alexander, Flora and Pom are overjoyed when they learn that their balloon has landed in a town inhabited by toys. Everyone appears to be happy until they follow their new friend Dora to a terrible factory for broken toys. The evil Morpho has designed a machine called the Unfixilator that makes the broken toys disappear forever! Babar, Celeste, Zephir and the children show this misguided robot that fixing a problem is much better than throwing it away.


LAND OF ICE

A large wooden door in the middle of the jungle leads the family to the beautiful Land of Ice. Inside however, things aren't as playful as they had hoped. The family meets a very sad penguin whose food has been stolen by the neighboring polar bears! The only way to defeat these enemies is to put their heads together and trick the enemies, teaching everyone that things aren't always as they seem.


LAND OF PIRATES

While on a fishing adventure, Babar and his family get shipwrecked in a terrible storm. A pirate ship led by the Pirate Captain comes to their rescue and brings the family to the Pirate Mansion where a big feast is prepared. As it turns out, the Pirate Captain is a fan of grand tales of adventure and won't let everyone leave until he is fully entertained. Seeing that they are trapped, Babar and his family attempt an escape only to find the Pirate Mansion is under a secret attack by the Squid Pirates! It is up to them to return the favor and save their new friends from their enemies. In doing so, they teach everyone the invaluable lesson that, what goes around comes around.


LAND OF WITCHES

After following a path lined with flowers, the family finds themselves in a magical land inhabited by witches. The first friend they meet is a Witch-In-Training named Lulu. She impresses the group with all sorts of tricks but things start to go very wrong when Pom is turned into a pig! Unfortunately, Lulu has yet to learn how to reverse her spells and she must learn on her own how to undo these nasty tricks! Pom must be changed back to an elephant before the sun rises and so the family pulls together, teaching Lulu that teamwork will always win in the end.


LAND OF MYSTERIOUS WATER

Babar, Celeste, Zephir and the children, come across a spring filled with mysterious water in this land of adventure. Surprisingly, the water allows them to float in the sky! Alexander gets carried away and flies far away from the others, running into a dangerous condor. After being saved by a mother eagle, Alexander is introduced to her son Igor who has a fear of flying. Alexander is able to teach his new friend to overcome his fear and Igor realizes that he'll never learn to do new things unless he tries them.


LAND OF THE UNDERGROUND

Looking for the next Land of Adventure, the family balloon crashes and falls into a large crevasse. This time, they find themselves in an enchanted underground city. Their happiness is cut short however, when three mischievous mole brothers appear, steal the family map and disappear! Babar and his family run after the moles to get the map back but the moles know the underground much better than our travelers do and love playing tricks! Babar manages to save their map, but most importantly the family teaches the brothers how to keep themselves entertained and out of trouble.


THE SEABED LAND

When the balloon lands on a small island in the middle of the ocean, they come across a giant sea turtle who shows them the way to their next land of adventure. Sheldon, the turtle, casts a magic aura allowing Babar, Celeste, Zephir and the children to explore a land beneath the sea. When they arrive, they come across the most beautiful kingdom made from the coral reef. Everything isn't quite as perfect as it seems however, Princess Sandy is being forced to marry the evil Octolunga. The family must think of a way to save the princess from a terrible fate. In the end, they manage to teach the villain the important lesson that "Bullies always lose in the long run".


LAND OF TREATS

Babar and his family arrive in a town where everything is made out of treats and every store they go into has better tasting delicacies than the last! That is, until they find a bakery with the worst tasting cakes in the land. Every one of his cakes is burnt! This poor young baker must pass the inspection of the Prince or he will lose his shop forever! Fortunately, Celeste is a master baker herself and she teaches the baker the tricks of the trade. The Prince however is flabbergasted when he finds raisins in one of the cakes and the group is banished to the town jail. The family retaliates with kindness however and they throw the Prince a party with the most delicious of treats and of course - no raisins! The Prince is overjoyed and once again, the family departs having saved their friend's bakery and showing the Prince that kindness is much better than being mean.


LAND OF THE TREASURE HUNT

Babar and his family find themselves in the middle of a championship treasure hunt! The children are sure they can win, after all, they go on treasure hunts all the time back home in Celesteville! But they didn't count on the fox team who wins every year. At first, Babar and his family are discouraged when they find themselves losing the treasure hunt, but soon find out the real reason the foxes are winning... they cheat! Everyone knows you must have mental as well as physical strength to win a championship treasure hunt; and Babar and his family have both! After a long and exhausting hunt, Babar's team wins the race and the fox's team's respect. Maybe it is true, cheaters never prosper and hard work does pay off in the end!


LAND OF HAPPINESS

Once Babar and his family journey through this final land they should be able to reach the fabled Land of Happiness. This of course, is easier said than done! The family comes across a beautiful castle nestled in the clouds and it turns out that this castle belongs to Babar's old friend Max, the man that gave him the map! After they enter the magical palace the children and Zephir get separated from Babar and Celeste, they must save Alexander from a ghost, rescue a family of mice, and prove to be wise and kind like their parents. This test has been designed by Max to see whether the children learned all of the necessary values and morals essential to live a life of happiness. The children pass with flying colors and Babar and his family are led to the highly anticipated Land of Happiness. As it turns out, Celesteville is their final destination, proving that there truly is no place like home.
